Athletics

On the 9th of November 2016 College Street had Athletics day. Each class had different activities like my class had Long distance first then High jump, Throw, Hurdles, Sprints, Long jump, Relays. I didn't get in the relay team but that was okay because that meant that I could cheer on my team. WEKA...WEKA....WEKA...WEKA. Our team for the Senior and Middle relays won. But sadly not in the Junior. but hey 1st in 2 races. Wahoo!

The World of Wonders Food Festival

For The Festival we are having at school on the 16th of November 2016 I am making Traditional Asian Food. For our integration we are learning about Cultural Diversity. Cultural Diversity is the existence of a variety of cultural or ethnic groups within a society. I am in a group that is making Dumplings, Fried rice, Sushi and Tropical Jelly. There are other groups doing Food like the Arabic group and the German group. I am making the Dumplings for the Festival. They are going to be Beef dumplings and Yutong is making Lamb. We are doing this because our class is learning about all the different cultures in the world. They are going to be FREE! We all wrote letters to our parents to help us make the food and we made poster. Here is my letter. My letter. And this is my poster.

Bike safety

On the 4th of November 2016 the girls in Gri11 did a bike safety lesson with a police officer. He taught us what the road rules, why we were helmets ,giving way to people on the top of the T in a intersection and your right while at a round-a-bout. And most importantly signalling with your arms. After lunch we got into 2 groups and did a quick recap on all the things we learn't before hand. Then we had a competition to see who was the best biker. First group 1 got on there bikes and started. There were arms everywhere, it was like a jungle. I was in the first group. I was biking around the outside a couple of times trying not to speed then a turned to go into the round-a-bout. I put my hand up so everyone new I was stopping then I put my arm out the direction I was going. There was no one on my right so I went. I did that cycle for a while and then Me, Juliette and Sarah were the last 3 standing for the competition. The next group went and you know how that goes so then it was the end of the day and I asked my mum if I could bike home and I did.

My Birthday Horse Riding

On the day before my birthday my dad drove me and my sisters to the Bridge cafe in Ashurst. I was so excited when I saw the horses. " I dibs the brown horse!" I shouted excitedly. We ran up towards the horses and jumped up and down. The instructor came and told us all of there names and the Bossiness of all of them. My biggest sister got the bossiest horse. My other 2 sisters got on there horses after me and we started on our journey. We walked down a road with lots of turns and bends. We stopped to let our dad catch up because he was walking behind us, then we walked into a bush and past a river and we found other horses, wild horses. My horse was walking above heaps of rocks and sticks and suddenly......... My horse pooped everywhere. After 1 hour of horse riding we got back and had a big lunch. It was the best birthday ever!

Argument writing about global warming

In my class these past few weeks. We have been writing an argument about our topic for or inquiries. Mine is about how humans can reduce the effect of Global warming. I think my writing for you and others is good so I can persuade you to stop Global warming.

Global warming is a major worldwide issue. I think that Global warming needs to be fixed and people should try that. Humans could try and reduce the effects of Global warming. Other environmental issues make global warming like Deforestation and Air pollution.

Firstly, Global warming is causing the sea levels to rise and countries and cities will get flooded and it will sink under the water. Plus people will have less drinking water because of all the salt water rising.

Secondly,Transportation and Factories are causing the carbon dioxide  in the air to get too hot and that warms the earth. The carbon dioxide is unbalanced in the air because of the lack of trees. It also makes Air Pollution which is another issue.

Thirdly, Humans are creating all the different effects that are causing Global warming. Humans are making heaps of the greenhouse gas effects which make global warming.

Finally, Global warming brings countries and cities together to help stop this environmental issue to plant trees and nature. People are making the greenhouse gases from the simplest of objects like a charger, if you put it on standby or turn it off and it will help a lot to stop global warming.

If people reduce the effect of the greenhouse gases then the global temperature will drop. If we do these things then we can save the arctic life and the environment around them. Let’s stop making all these useless gases and help the earth out. MAKE A CHANGE!

My Holiday In A Haiku Poem

In the school holidays my Mums car broke down. We tried to fix it for a few days then my Mum called over a Mechanic. He said we need a new car battery. So we went to Repco to get a car battery for the car. Repco was no help they gave us the wrong size battery twice so never go to Repco. The car is still a bit jumpy but at lest we can drive.

My production role....

College street normal school is having a school production at the Regent Theatre on Broadway. I am in a dance called the Time dance and we dance to Rihanna and Michael Jackson’s songs mashed up together. We have dance moves that we took about 3-4 weeks to practice on. We jump, Have our arms as straight as we can for clock hands and we twirl around from the air to the ground. And that's all i'm going to tell you otherwise I will ruin the show for others.

My favourite thing about learning in GRI11 2.0 is......

My favourite thing about GRI11 20 is choosing were you sit. It is my favourite thing because I don't work so well at a labeled seat and having to sit there no matter what. If it goes boy, girl, boy girl it just makes me feel uncomfortable and I cant do much work while feeling uncomfortable.
Most people would say DEVICES as their favourite thing about learning in my class. But I like sitting by myself and it is much much better than sitting in a labeled desk with books. I Love making choices about where I sit.
